The recently established Ethiopian Insurance Women Association (EthIWA) named W/ro Meseret Bezabih President of the association during the official launch of the association on 27 May 2025 at Ethiopian Sky Light Hotel at a side meeting of the 51st Conference and Annual General Assembly of the African Insurance Organization (AIO).
The association is a member of African Insurance Women Association (AIWA) and will work towards the vision of empowering, advancing and fostering leadership of women in the Ethiopian Insurance industry.
W/ro Meseret is currently the CEO of Hibret Insurance, Board Chairperson of Ethiopian Reinsurance Company (Ethio RE) and Board member of Association of Ethiopian Insurers.
It was to be recalled that she was crowned as the Best CEO of the year in Africa during the 50th Conference and Annual General Assembly of the African Insurance Organization (AIO) held in Windhoek, Namibia on June 03, 2024.
